Sam who runs the studio says “I wanted to create a place where anyone could come and feel safe, welcomed and relaxed. For some people starting a fitness journey can be quite scary. Here at The Workshop Fitness Studios we are a friendly bunch and whatever your abilities I would like to think you would be comfortable to try any of our classes and be happy knowing that you are being looked after and getting a fantastic workout.”

Bootcamp is a circuit based workout featuring cardio and resistance exercises. The class uses a wide range of equipment including sand bags, bosu balls, hula-hoops and punch bags. Its a fun, not too serious, whole body workout.
This class is best described as… Like Zumba, but less Latin and more Pop. It’s up-beat and easy-going with simple to follow routines that are energetic and effective. A really fun way to workout with a party atmosphere – one of Sam’s favourite classes.
Our Over 60’s version follows the same principles as the normal class except it is non-impact with a little less shimmying and shaking. The music is tailored to suit the age group.
High Intensity Interval Training is a popular way to workout. It’s quick and to the point. Our class is structured into a Warm Up, 20 minute HIIT workout, core (tummy) exercises, and a cool down/stretch. The exercises are easily adapted to suit all abilities.
This is The Workshops own version of Body Pump. It’s a resistance based class to music. We use a mix of barbells, dumbbells and steps. This is the perfect class for toning up and feeling fitter and stronger, this class will be sure to get your muscles pumping.
We have two versions of WOW each week. The first class is aimed at beginners and the second class is for ladies only (see timetable). The classes are very much like a legs, bums and tums workout but with added arm exercises. Its a bit of everything; cardio, weights and step work all aimed at working those problem areas us ladies don’t like.
This is another of our classes designed specifically for ladies. It is circuit based, using a mix of equipment in a small, friendly, women-only environment. Perfect for beginners as well as more advanced workout enthusiasts.
Move, breathe, relax and feel better. This is what Sharon’s yoga classes are all about. As well as a deep stretch the class helps you relax and switch off. Sharon teaches a flow based yoga class suitable for all abilities.
